(Rev. Msgr. Eddy Bisson) The cleansing of the temple in the Gospel inaugurates the public ministry of Jesus. It shows us how Jesus acts according to what He believes. Do we act based on our values? Are our behaviors consistent with what we believe? For instance, do we keep holy the Sabbath - the day dedicated to the Lord where families come together to Mass and share a day of relaxation, or have other things become more important? We need to seriously evaluate ourselves and make the necessary changes in our lives. Set some time aside and examine our lives in order to lead to the cleansing of Reconciliation which is so freely open to all of us! Then we will be ready for the Lord's eternal banquet.

(Deacon Roland) How do we perceive transformation in our lives? Do we see they beauty in change, even when it is difficult?

Do we take responsibility or accountability for our own actions, choices or decisions? Repent, and receive the good news!

If you were arrested for being a Christian would there be enough information to convict you?

How compelled are we to spread the Good News? When people come into your presence , do they your presence somehow closer to the Lord?

At the beginning of His public ministry, Christ teaches and expels a demon.

Christ calls His first followers to His service.

The first disciples recognize Christ as the Messiah.

The Magi come to the stable with their gifts to honor the newborn King.

Simeon and Anna foresee the salvation that will come from the Child presented in the temple.

Mary’s obedient faith consents to the Father’s choice of her to bring Christ into the world.

John the Baptist calls us to make straight the way of the Lord

John the Baptist calls people to repentance in preparation of the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.

Christ calls us to watch for His coming

Do not make God a hobby. Our faith is not just words - we need to put it to practice

(Deacon Roland) The minimum is not always enough. Sometimes we need to go above and beyond

Can't borrow your faith or love. You must have it on your own

No one has our final allegiance but God Himself

Take care of others the way God takes care of you

God comes first
