Another beautiful week of progress! The new speakers have been installed, bringing our new sound system one step closer to completion. Mary and Saint Joseph have returned to their rightful places, now beautifully illuminated by new backlighting that highlights their presence in our worship space. This week brought some big changes to our worship space! The 2,700-pound baptismal font was carefully moved into place — no small task! It is now ready to become a beautiful and meaningful part of our renewed church. This week was all about our new baptismal font! It arrived from Graniteville, Vermont, weighing an incredible 2,700 pounds after machining. It began its journey as a massive 6,000-pound block of stone measuring 56" x 56" x 24" — and has now been transformed into a beautiful and lasting part of our worship space. This week, attention turned to the beautiful finishing touches throughout our sanctuary. Tile installation continued around the altar, while the engraved lettering on the granite altar and ambo was carefully hand-painted, highlighting these sacred focal points with renewed beauty and reverence. This week marks a major milestone in our renovation! The painting is now complete, and the painters have packed up and moved out after transforming our worship space. Our beautiful wooden crucifix has been returned to its place of honor, now displayed against its stunning new stone wall. The stonework behind the statues of Mary and Saint Joseph has been completed, the Litany is nearly finished, and several of the Stations of the Cross have been completed as well. The narthex has also received its fresh coat of paint! With each passing week, our renewed worship space is becoming more beautiful.
