(Fr. Gerry Dion) Our misinterpretation of how God loves us, we think we know how God should fix us or our problems, but we need have to faith that God knows what we need. Pray for God to show us what we need to help us with and allow God/Jesus to help us the way they see. Make time for prayer to allow God into our lives to help.

The ten commandments are just the beginning/basics to being a disciple of Jesus. We do not want to harm any of our loved ones, but we need to help those less fortunate, give life, and actually do good to be a real follower of Jesus.

Marriage - should be a union of heart, soul, mind, and flesh - Bishop offers suggestions on how to get there.

We should love anyone who loves Christ…do not turn away our brothers and sisters just because they do not celebrate Christ just like us as Catholics. We are all looking for the love of Christ so embrace other brothers and sisters of other faiths and share the love of Christ.

Christ teaches us his true followers are self sacrificing and puts others above our own wants. God serves us in a self sacrificing way….love one another as God has loved you. Am I serving others the way Christ has asked?

What we do shows what we believe and who we belong to. Do you answer Christ's questions by the way we live? Do your wants come before others needs?

We can hear the word of God but not listen to it….God tells us to forgive but do we? God tells us to love but do we? We are supposed to hear his word to be merciful or loving and act on it.

What comes out of me? My heart, mind, mouth, and actions? Goodness or something else? We should not put vanity and society above our loved ones. We sin when we give ourselves permission on putting above what we desire versus others needs.

Be compassionate and merciful to all God's family members. We believe in Christ's word and in him but do we apply his teachings every day? We need to spend more time serving the Lord's needs versus our own, as this is the only way to obtain life everlasting.

Do you really have it all? What are you living for? Do you have heaven? Have you taken up Jesus and become the bread of life for each other?

Be kind to one another like Jesus is to us. Love each other like Jesus loves us. You will be Jesus's discipline if you sincerely love others.

Putting your hope in Jesus, not material things….are we putting enough time into Jesus as this is ultimately the most important objective. We will never be satisfied by anything except Jesus "bread of life" everything else is perishable.

The necessities of life - needs versus luxuries, do we realize that our fundamental purpose is to be a preacher of the kingdom of God, nothing should detract us from that mission, two things we need to live fully sense of purpose/mission and a companion.

"Thorn in the flesh"/ those who experience suffering….this makes people who they are and helps them to see the suffering in others and be sympathetic/empathetic to the welfare of others. Jesus's grace is enough for you and will get you through. Suffering will make you strong to help you achieve Jesus's goals for us.

Jesus hugs us to life. Jesus loves us all unconditionally. Love leads to healing and life, reconciliation, and redemption.

We will all face storms and darkness in our lives. God is with us in these situations. Cry out to him! God alone can give us the strength, courage and wisdom to carry on.
