Chris Wenrich

Chris was born in Springfield, Mass., on June 1, 1958, the second of seven children. She married Bill Wenrich on Dec. 1, 1984. They have three children; Michael who graduated Magna Cum Laude from SNHU in 2013 with a BS in Business Studies; and twin daughters Catherine and Sarah, who graduated from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY, in 2015. Catherine was an animal behavior major and Sarah was a psychology major.

Chris worked for the Department of the Army as a civilian employee at Fort Devens for 16 years until the base was closed. The Wenrichs joined the parish in the early 1980s. Chris was mostly impressed with the children's programs and the Children's Choir and the sense of family that she felt at the church.

Chris has been involved in the Stephen Ministry, Eucharistic Minister, Gift Program, CYO, Fundraising Committee and Steering Committee for the new church; also, she was involved in the creation of the tree in the Narthex.

Chris began volunteering with the Children's Choir in 1995 (now changed to the Youth Choir) and became director in 1998. Chris also assisted with the Teen Choir for several years. Chris has been working with our parish youth for over 20 years and credits her parents for passing on to her the love of music and theater: Her mother was a talented singer and her father was a pantomime comedian.

Community involvement included volunteering in her children's classrooms, assisting with fundraising events and drama and chorus performances, and serving as secretary of the PTO Board among other things. Chris became involved with Actorsingers community theatre in 2005. She focuses on coordinating ad sales for the shows' programs and obtains sponsors and donations, but has also helped out in other behind-the-scene aspects of the shows. Chris also assisted the Northern Ballet Theatre Dance Centre with their programs over the last couple of years, and served on their Board of Directors for a year. While employed at Fort Devens, Chris was a Special Olympics volunteer for 10 years, and was a Red Cross Blood Donation Coordinator.

Our parish gratefully recognizes all that Chris has done and continues to do to build up God's Kingdom among us and we ask God's blessings upon her and her family.
